Institutional biographer
People, ideas, motives, structures... each academic circle has its own story to tell. Actually telling it creates a better understanding of why things are the way they are. Stories have a binding effect on the inner world and show the outer world who you are.
Together with Jeltsje Stobbe I investigated an important period in the history of Delft University of Technology. Our research was based on both archives and interviews. I chronicled the story in a book: Universiteit in beweging (in Dutch)
